A large umbrella has a larger canopy size and is more likely to be dislodged or raised by wind. Without an appropriate base for the setting and the umbrella, the piece could be dangerous. The umbrella may tip or fall when the wind blows high, causing injury or damage to surrounding property or the umbrella itself. Installation with the correct base is essential for safety and appropriate function.

We offer a range of products suitable for various settings.
For pool installations, we recommend using 304 high-grade stainless steel, and our patented base and sleeve insert work well with our umbrellas for use almost anywhere. When installed permanently, the drainage hole is included, and the sleeve offers upright stability.

- Two pivot arms for locked connection to the base
- Tamper-free sleeve prevents separation from the base until the pole has been removed
- Restraint bolt for connection of the pole and assembly, and security of the collar that covers the pivot arms
- Removable sleeve for when the base is unused, and a plug to fit within the base when unused
- Stainless steel construction for superior corrosion resistance
The core plug comes in three sizes: 1 ½”, 2”, or 2 ⅜”, and we strongly emphasize that installation should be completed by a qualified contractor, followed by a professional inspection.

The stand systems here at American Holtzkraft feature a two-piece construction assembly that connects with a single carriage bolt. The sleeve has through holes at the top for connecting the umbrella and a drain hole at the bottom to prevent water accumulation. Four ⅜” diameter holes in the base plate secure the stand to its resting place with feet that elevate the base off the ground.
Stands come in four options:
- 24 ½” diameter steel model (57 pounds)
- 21 ½” square steel (71 pounds)
- 30” square steel (138 pounds)
- 20” diameter plastic, concrete-filled (70 pounds)
Select the umbrella sleeve that suits your umbrella, featuring standard powder coat finishes in black, white, or almond. Additional powder coat finishes are available for an extra fee.
