What to Expect from American Holtzkraft Market Umbrellas
The market umbrellas we make are available with wooden or aluminum pole support. If you choose wooden market umbrellas, Northern Ash will be the usual timber used, but we also make Western Cedar and Plantation-Grown Teak available. Kiln-dried and sealed with multiple layers of marine-grade sealant and the finished shade of your choice and further protected by an aluminum flush pole guard, wooden poles for our market umbrellas are strong and resistant to damage.
These wooden poles support marine-grade canopies designed according to your specifications. They are attached via multi-laminated hubs and finials, as well as solid brass hardware.
The most popular model we offer is the most resistant to wind damage. The canopy rotates 360° and features dual venting that reduces the stress of the wind against the umbrella. Additional features of this round “octagon” market umbrella include multiple layers of marine-grade, durable varnish and wood stains in the following shades: Teak, Natural Mahogany, Stonehenge Gray, White Wash, Black Enamel, and White Enamel. While most of our wooden umbrellas are made of Northern Ash hardwoods, we also offer Plantation-Grown Teak and Western Cedar.
We also produce aluminum market umbrellas in octagon “round,” square, rectangle, and decagon shapes. The hub, ribs, and pole are solid, machined aluminum, and the hardware composing the market umbrella includes stainless steel and solid brass components. Brushed aluminum poles are standard, but we offer a powder coat finish for an upgraded price.
Wind-Damage Testing
The wind-damage-resistant model at American Holtzkraft has demonstrated the ability to avoid damage during high-wind situations until the winds pass 74.5 mph. We can provide video evidence of this testing upon request.
Refurbishment and Repair Center
